Education & Technology For A Changing World
What do MOO's, MUD's the Internet, multi-media, and Capitol Hill have in common? Little, outside of the increasingly complex and innovative world of distance education.
No longer mere delivery tools to teach students at a distance, educators are configuring new ways to use voice, video and data technologies to capture the imagination - whether students are in the home, office, classroom or hospital - to push education onto a new multi-dimensional level.
This meeting will look at a few of the exciting ways educators use technology. At a time when Congress is looking for ways to cut the budget, Senator Paul Wellstone (D-MN), a member of the Senate Labor and Human Resources Committee, will provide insight on how we can work together to encourage distance education.
We will also discuss how ITC can improve the quality and quantity of services ITC provides its members. A special Awards Dinner provides and opportunity to recognize those who have contributed great things to the field.
